Jim is focused on one goal: winning elections!

Jim is a long-time resident of Tazewell County, shaped by the values of faith, hard work, and service. Raised with a deep appreciation for God, Country, and Family, he has carried those principles into every part of his life — from his education and career to his commitment to strengthening his community.

Jim earned his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Leadership from Eureka College, graduating Summa Cum Laude. His academic work deepened his understanding of effective leadership, organizational development, and the importance of empowering people to work together toward shared goals.

A proud Grassroots Conservative, Jim has long believed that strong communities are built from the bottom up — through engaged citizens, transparent leadership, and a culture of personal responsibility. That belief guided his service as Chairman of the Tazewell County Republican Party from 2018 to 2026, where he worked to support local involvement, encourage civic participation, and strengthen the party’s connection to voters across the county. Jim has been an active Republican Precinct Committeeman for over a decade.

Jim proudly served our nation in the United States Navy Submarine Force. Attaining the rank of Chief (E7), Jim served aboard nuclear-powered submarines and was responsible for leading his department in handling, training, safeguarding and launching the ship's armament including small arms, evasion devices, torpedoes and missiles. During his shore-duty tour, Jim was a Master Training Specialist facilitating the Navy's prestigious Leadership & Management School.

His professional background includes experience in various businesses including an entrepreneurial start-up company in the Peoria area where he developed a reputation for servant leadership, integrity, reliability, and a steady, solutions‑focused approach. These qualities continue to define his leadership style today. Jim is currently the Director of Operations for a fast-food franchise with locations throughout central Illinois.

Family remains at the center of his life. Jim is married to Michelle and they have three children and three grandchildren. Those who know him best describe him as someone who listens, shows up and is present in his family's lives, and leads with conviction and humility.

Beyond his professional and organizational roles, Jim has been active in local volunteer efforts, community initiatives, and service projects. He believes that meaningful change begins with everyday citizens investing in their neighborhoods, supporting local institutions, and helping one another.

Today, Jim continues to serve with the same principles that have guided him from the beginning: faith in God, love of country, and a commitment to building a stronger, more unified community for all.
